Food and Nutrition Aims and Outcomes:
• Develop the knowledge and understanding and skills required for food and nutrition.
• Develop their knowledge and understanding of human needs within a diverse society.
• Examine issues that affect the quality of human life.
• Evaluate choices and decisions to develop as informed and discerning consumers.
Summary:
The course consists of 1½ Hour Theory Exam taken in summer. Task 1: (20%) Science Based Coursework. Task 2: (40%) Practical Based Coursework - Duration: 20 hours to commence in the second part of the year (Yr 11)
