Urgent Updates

In the event of extreme weather conditions, the Headteacher makes the decision whether or not to close the school.

A decision to will be announced on local radio ie BBC Wales and Red Dragon; and here on the website.

If no announcement is made, then the school is OPEN.

Please do not attempt to telephone the school as this will block the telephone lines which will be used for emergencies.

In the event of heavy snowfall/flooding during the day, any decision to close early will be announced using the means above. Pupils are not allowed to use mobile phones in school and we request that you do not rely on individual messages that come to you from any source other than the official announcements.

If it is necessary to close the school for more than one day, parents will be informed again, through the local radio and our website.

If the school remains open, your child will need to make every attempt to get to school as any absences taken without an official closure are recorded as 'unauthorised'. Please ensure that your child's attendance record supports our expectations of high achievement and success.
