St Richard Gwyn boasts three forums for students to take part in the decision making process of the school. Representatives from every form meet fortnightly to discuss any issues their form suggests and an elected Council meet every three weeks in a formal setting to provide student views. These views are taken seriously by the Headteacher and Governors. They give opinions on every aspect of school life including the appointment of teachers and two of their representatives sit as Pupil Associate Governors.
The Student Council also organises lockers for pupils to rent and is responsible for many of the fun events in school.
