If you shop online anyway, why not do it with easyfundraising and raise some valuable funds for St Richard Gwyn Catholic High School. It's so simple, just register on line at www.easyfundraising.org.uk/strichardgwyn and everytime you shop with any of the 400 brand name retailers, you'll earn a donation of up to 15% for the school.
In the last three years major building improvements have occurred at the school. A new building consisting of twelve rooms with newly equipped science laboratories and science preparation areas has been opened. This September we will have an additional IT suite. A new minibus was purchased 5 years ago, and last September we purchased another one, as our extra curricular activities have become more and more popular.
St Richard Gwyn is a Voluntary Aided Catholic High School which means that the Governing Body is responsible for a significant proportion of all building costs. Last summer we refurbished our Food Technology room as well as opening the new IT suite.
The Governing Body has no direct source of funding so in order to continue to develop and improve the school we ask each family to consider donating by standing order a small amount each month towards these costs. As a charity, we can claim Grant Aid from Inland Revenue, reclaiming the income tax you have paid on this donation. If you agree to make a donation of, say £5.00 per month for the five years your child is with us, we will be able to claim back £84.00 of the tax you will pay. This money will be used to maintain and improve the facilities for the benefit of all our children. Click here to download the mandate form.
Lottery
Our school has acquired a second new minibus. This is enabling students to have far more opportunities including field trips, theatre visits and many more sports fixtures. The Parents, Teachers and Friends Association have teamed up with "The Weather Lottery" to finance the minibus. Please consider this exciting way of helping to provide facilities for our school.
Please support us by filling in your entry form today which are available from the school office.
