The Chapel is a unique space for all students and staff to take some timeout from the hustle and bustle of daily life; a space to make time for conversation with God and the spiritual aspect of life. Our school chaplain Nicky Price provides support and encouragement to both staff and students and helps to develop the spirituality and Catholicity, with the help of all staff and the Governors who have a Catholic Life sub committee
Prayer and Worship
Students have opportunities to take part in daily prayers and to join in major liturgies at Advent and Lent. There is a weekly focus on Sunday’s Gospel message to encourage students to explore and deepen their understanding of Scripture.. Local clergy visit the school on a regular basis to offer support and to meet with students and staff and over 100 students participated in the Sacrament of Reconciliation in December. Staff also have a time of prayer to start their week and every Friday they have a time of quiet reflection with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in the chapel after school.
