LEARNING COACHES

Year 10
In Year 10 students will receive regular mentoring from their Form Tutor, following a mentoring booklet where students can record their achievements and set themselves goals going forward. These will be used for reflection time and progress monitored. If required, Form Tutors can refer students to the Senior Pastoral Mentor who will assign a member of staff to this student for further mentoring.

Year 11
Every student in year 11 is been allocated a Learning Coach who will mentor each student approximately 4 times a year. Students are mentored so they have one-to-one interviews to discuss academic progress and any other issues that might arise. This enables us to give each student appropriate guidance to progress.
Students in Year 11 will have a mentoring session with their Learning Coach and a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

TEACHING CLASSES

In RE, Mathematics, English, Science, Welsh and Welsh Baccalaureate all students are set on the basis of their ability across the whole year group.

If you are concerned about the academic progress of your son or daughter please contact their Progress Leader at the school.
